Oh hi.

Hey, I’m Rob

I began modding guitars in late 2019 when I Googled how to replace the tuners on my grandfather’s 1953 Gibson ES-125. Naturally, this lead me down the rabbit hole of YouTube videos showing me that building guitars was fun and possible. I fell in love with the process and reward of building something that can make music.

My commissions are most often centered around the history and passions of the player. We research materials that have a deep connection to the client, with a focus on finding locally sourced options whenever possible. The design is developed to showcase the story behind why the instrument was built, with an emphasis on shaping the sound to meet the creative needs of the artist.

When building on-off instruments for sale, I often try to incorporate live-edge features of the wood into the shape of the instrument. I also enjoy modding existing instruments to craft a new story for its future life.
